I take pride in having had the privilege of calling countless High Point University sporting events over the past few years, many of which having been broadcast on the ESPN+ platform. I have learned so much about what it takes to be an effective broadcaster; including, but not limited to:

Radio Broadcasts
Media Production Team — High Point Rockers Baseball
I was a member of the media production team for the High Point Rockers during their inaugural season in the Atlantic League in 2019. The team was responsible for ensuring that the scoreboard and video board were accurate at all times, that audio throughout the stadium was timely and accurate, as well as being responsible for all aspects of the television (YouTube) broadcast. Some of my specific responsibilities and areas of focus during the season were:

HPU Radio Host
I have experience as a Radio Show host on HPUR The Sound, the High Point University radio station. In this role, I have gained vital experience producing original content and preforming quick-thinking improv on air. The show was called The Dale Tailgate Show, on which a fellow colleague and I would discuss any number of things, from sports to gambling to music, and other aspects of life. ​
Written Work
I pride myself on my ability to write well. I have produced countless written pieces over the years, many for classes and some for publications and casual reading. Multiple examples of my written work is on display for viewing on the next tab. Aside from journalistic writing, I also have experience writing in a public relation and strategic communication manner. I would be will, able and excited to these type of documents upon request.
Classwork
My time as a student in the Nido R. Qubein School of Communications at High Point University has allowed me to both produce extensive professional documents as well as gain useful experiences. The Communications department, regardless of major and minor, requires students to take a wide range of courses and be fluent in wide-ranging skills. For example, I took multiple courses in PR Techniques, News Producing and Writing and Digital Media Editing. Thus, I have gained extra time in front of the camera, behind the keyboard and within video and photo editing software. I am thankful for this diverse style of education, as it has helped me become a much more complete professional.
