Overview
During my time in high school and college, I enjoyed being a part of many extracurriculars. I played soccer and tennis competitively, and I was an active member of the Model UN team during both high school and college. In my free time, I enjoy watching, playing and officiating sports.

Club Soccer

I was a two-year captain of my club soccer team during high school, in which I was tasked with leading by example on and off the field. I was a two-year captain of my club soccer team in college, during which I was tasked with scheduling practices and games, coordinating with other teams' leadership, acquiring referees, etc. in addition to leading by example.​

High School Tennis​

I was a two-year captain of my high school tennis team, during which the team experienced exponential success; At one point we won 23 team matches in a row, including one team championship. We also had eight (8) individual tournament winners and earned a promotion to the conference above due to our success.​

Model United Nations​

During my time at HPU, I was a four-year member of the Model UN team. For two years, I was the Executive Vice President, and earned the President role for my senior year. ​As a leader within this club, I was tasked with planning conferences—which included budgeting, travel, lodging and a selection process for who would attend. I would also be responsible for other students' safety and well-being during travel and at the conferences. Our team competed at some of the best conferences in the country and beyond, including UPenn, UChicago, Yale and McGill.

HPU Recreation​

I worked for campus recreation for nine (9) semesters (undergraduate & graduate) while at HPU, possessing the positions of both lead referee as well as site manager. In these positions, I was responsible for ensuring the safe and smooth running of intramural sports. As lead referee, I was tasked with training and scheduling other referees, while also officiating the toughest, most competitive games. As site manager, I was responsible the safety of everyone at the intramural site—players, officials and fans. I am also First Aid/CPR certified and was responsible for administering medical assistances to anyone who was injured at the site. Through these positions, I learned the importance of effective communication and respect amongst peers and coworkers.​

I was able to earn this honor upon graduating in 2020 through hard work and a commitment to quality in the classroom. I am a strong believer in getting as much out of a situation as you put, and this was a strong motivating factor behind my reception of these honors.​​

Sports Broadcaster of the Year 2020​

This award was issued by the Sports Media department of the Nido R. Qubein School of Communications after consideration from the Sports Media and other related faculty. It is awarded to one student each year who has excelled in their work on camera and in the broadcast booth. ​

Award for Outstanding Leadership​

This honor was issued by the leadership and administrators within the Communication and Business Leadership Masters program for the 2020-2021 academic year. The award recognizes four (4) students who have shown qualities of leadership within their interactions with other students as well as faculty and professionals.​
